“ We wanted to see what this place had to offer after seeing it in a magazine. ZERO disappointment. Our server, Brooke, was awesome with recommendations, never let our glasses get empty. We left stuffed and pleased. If you're looking for elegance, this is not it. If you're looking for good food and plenty of it, I highly recommend. ”
“ Oldest business in Michigan? of course! I had to go check it out. It is truly a quaint old tavern. We were there for lunch, was not busy. Super relaxing with a fabulous and delightful server. Also had to try the famous hot ham sandwich. It was good. Maybe not the best ham sandwich I’ve ever had but very good. On a return visit , would definitely try something else. Menu had lots of good looking options. Again, service beyond excellent. If I lived closer, could see it being a regular hangout. ”
“ Nice "old" bar feel and good food. Unfortunately, we were there when a big birthday party of 20 or so people came in, so the poor bartender/server was just too busy to keep up with the customers. Our simple lunch of 5 people took 2 hours from start to finish with only one return visit for a 2nd round of drinks. ”

The only thing that kept it from a 5 was only one cook and one person bartender and taking/ delivering the orders. They did a good job considering, but you need to be a bit patient, worth the wait. The owner needs to get them some help. ”
